A backronym is a phrase whose initials spell a word. In this party game, everyone gets the same word and invents what it stands for, then pitches it to the table with a straight face. The most convincing nonsense wins.

[FIG][01] [HOW][TO][PLAY]
Flip, think, pitch.
-
[STEP][01]
Flip
One prompt card and one word card, face up in the middle of the table. Everyone plays off the same two cards.
-
[STEP][02]
Scheme
Come up with a backronym for the word that fits the prompt: a phrase whose initials spell the word. Keep it snappy.
-
[STEP][03]
Pitch
Go around the table and pitch your backronym, and sell it like it’s already on the letterhead. Then everyone votes for their favorite.
[SCORING]
The winner keeps the word card, worth the points printed on it. Discard the prompt, flip again.
First to 12 wins.
